The main objective of the project “TA STEKIA” is the development of an innovative and original digital game that will be addressed in a current way to students, young people, adults and will be related to the culture and history of the 20th and 21st century in Greece with references to the past and the present.
The digital game is based on the artistic haunts and the artistic work of contemporary artists of Greece in the 20th and 21st century from a wide range of arts – poets, writers, painters, musicians, directors, actors, etc. Artists such as Odysseas Elytis, Nikos Gatsos, Manos Hadjidakis, Miltos Sachtouris, Michalis Katsaros, Mikis Theodorakis, Yannis Tsarouchis, Yannis Moralis, Kostas Varnalis, Napoleon Lapathiotis, Tsarouchis, Engonopoulos, Valaoritis, George Seferis, who frequented cafes and restaurants such as Loumidis’ Patari, the Enchanted Flute, Zonar’s, Floka’s Confectionery, Byzantion, etc. a that you will discover by playing the game.
The player follows Zenovia, a young girl from the countryside, who arrives in 1960s Athens looking for her uncle. As she searches for him, she navigates through various famous haunts of the era and learns about important people and events, and in the end she discovers that the situation is not as she imagined.
The script is a product of fiction. The characters, names and situations are fictional and any resemblance is coincidental and does not correspond to reality. Some persons, events and situations are based on real life, but are also enriched with many elements of fiction.
